Friendship is what friends grow into. People need people. People want and desire companionship. Think about the times in your life when you felt all alone. Was there anyone who came to wipe away your tears? If you've had anyone wipe away your tears then it was done by a friend.

Friends never let their friend's suffer needlessly. They care about their feelings and don't want them to feel lonely.

They'll always lend them a hand. This is called the hand of friendship.

Friendship involves mutual respect and consideration from one another. If one friend doesn't seem to care about the other one's feelings, it may not be a friendship after all. A true friend is someone who earns someone's trust and appreciation for all the sacrifices that were made for them.

Think about the word friend, now think of the word ship. Both these words are powerful words with great meaning separate or apart. The word friend means companion. The word ship makes people think about a ship smoothly sailing down an ocean. What a great way to interpret these two words. You may want to ponder your friendship as a ship that'll never let you fall overboard. It's a ship that sails you smoothly to dry land with much love and care.

A good friendship never plays jealously games. True friends are never jealous if the other friend has other friends. Friends want the best for each other. It never tries to make the other friend feel bad. When friends have learned to trust each other completely then these friends have turned into a friendship. A friendship that will then be ready and willing to help in any given situation.

Come rain or shine their commitment will stand strong.

When a person wants another person to come to each and every special occasion they have, this is what friendship is all about. True friends wouldn't have it any other way. A person knows who their friends are and who isn't. When life's ups and down always land you right beside the other, this is when you'll know what the word friendship really means.

When two people care about their relationship in the same way this is called a friendship. Friends are always ready to help when help is needed. When someone always knows the right thing to say to cheer you up, that's a friend.

Friendship is two great words that gently slide together to form one powerful ship, that will guide both friends along their journey of life.

Never sail without your best friend. Just remember a friendship can be anybody. It could be a girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, or a wife. Many types of friends, one kind of love.

Don't forget the friendship between a pet and it's owner. Friendships are special no matter what form of life they come from. Friendship just means committed companions that'll never let you down.
